Dad Finds Out About Daughter’s Abusive BF, Takes Matters Into Own Hands

A young woman in Missouri was brutally beaten by her boyfriend, causing her to permanently lose vision in one eye. In response, the woman’s father is said to have offered a $500 reward to anyone that can provide information on the whereabouts of the suspect.

Chelsea Simmons, 20, was nearly killed by her boyfriend, Cedric Powe, 27, during an altercation.

“Apparently he choked her until she passed out, brought her back, then choked her again and continually stomped on her head,” said Simmons’ stepmother, Melissa Zack. “She’s scared and she probably will be forever.”

Powe, known by friends as Moe, reportedly fled to the south side of St. Louis. Mark Zack, Simmons’ father, offered $500 to anybody that could provide police with information that will help them track down his daughter’s attacker.

“He needs to be caught so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else, and I don’t have to worry about it happening to her ever again,” said Simmons’ stepmother.

Doctors say that Simmons was just minutes away from certain death, and will likely endure pain from this incident for the rest of her life.

Powe has a lengthy history of criminal activity, including a 2008 arrest that resulted in a domestic battery charge, along with obstruction of justice, reports WJBD. Powe pleaded guilty to the obstruction of justice charge and was sentenced to one year in prison, but because of his guilty plea, the domestic battery charge was dismissed.
According to reports, Simmons filed a restraining order against Powe on Dec. 27, but both the families and authorities realize that may not necessarily protect the young woman. Powe has a history of violating an order of protection, including incidents in 2008 and 2009, reports MVN News.

Parents Charged After Child Found In Shocking Condition

A Panama City Beach, Florida, couple was arrested after their 6-year-old child’s teacher found bed bugs in his hair and lunch.

Helena and James Jones were arrested and charged with child neglect after the teacher’s findings – which lead authorities to discover that not only did the boy weigh just 37 pounds when he was found, but he was also not potty-trained and often came to school in soiled diapers.

In addition, it was found that the boy was overmedicated and that the medication was affecting his ability to walk.

“Not just the fact that he is extremely underweight, but there is concern that he is being overmedicated so defendants can more easily supervise him,” deputies wrote in a report. “The overmedication is contributing to his health issues and is keeping him from learning at school.” School staff had reportedly removed bed bugs from the boy’s hair several times over the course of a year.
Just weeks before the Jones’ were arrested, their house was condemned following a bed bug infestation. The boy’s bed was infested, and blood was found on his sheets from bites. He also defected blood, which authorities believe was due to the medication his parents were giving him.

The family moved back into the condemned home after they were told to leave, reported.

Many readers expressed outrage and sadness over the incident.

“Terrible. Poor child. School continued to give him meds. How could they let this child suffer so? Monsters he lived with probably knew nothing would be done by the school. I hope and pray the rest of this child’s life will be a good and caring one. Can’t stop the tears,” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.

“What has happened to the human population! So many, so called people, are regressing instead of progressing in society ! Sickening that children , elderly and animals are the targets of degenerates! Heartbreaking ! Let’s go lawmakers, not only should laws be harsher , but they should be enforced!!!” another added.
Some placed blame on the school, saying that teachers should have been more aware and concerned about the child’s condition and contacted authorities earlier.

“I can’t understand why the teachers and staff didn’t do anything about this situation. Personally I think that all personnel at his school should be prosecuted also. Normally the school system is quick to accuse parents of abuse but in this instance they turned their heads to this poor little boy,” one reader wrote.

“You know that’s not the first day he went to school and look that. That’s just the only day they did something about it. I don’t understand why they sent him home they should have called the authorities right then and there and kept them in the office. No child wants to live in filth or being eaten by bed bugs. The teachers and their parents should be ashamed of themselves,” another added.

Public Bus Driver Spots Age 5 Girl Alone at Stop. Knows She Needs Help Moment She Looks at Feet

Tiffani Lee, a Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver, was driving her bus when she spotted a little girl all by herself. She thought that she might need help and drove up to her.

Outside, it was cold and raining. As soon as Lee saw the girl’s feet, she knew something was wrong.
“She was walking by herself and she had on one flip flop and one tennis shoe,” said Lee. The temperature was in the 40s and the girl was totally alone.

Lee invited her to warm up inside of the bus and the girl thankfully accepted. Meanwhile, Lee called the police.

A camera in the bus captured the scene. It was later shared online by the Milwaukee County Transit System.
“I’m a parent, so I knew no parent would let their children be outside in that kind of weather with a flip flop and a tennis shoe, no way,” Lee told Fox News. She was right.

The video shows Lee trying to calm the girl down. “She calmed down because we got to talking about nail polish. She had on pink and I had on Easter purple,” Lee said.

Soon, a police officer arrived on the scene. The little girl let him know that she was lost and he was able to get the her back to her family.

Apparently, the 5-year-old simply decided to go for a walk. While her parents and siblings were asleep, the young girl managed to unlock the door and slip away.

The family was extremely grateful for Lee and the police. “Thank you (to) that bus driver. Thank you so much. I got my baby back,” Cheryl Wentland, the girl’s aunt, said.

“That tore me up that week so bad,” she said about the events. It was understandably a frightening experience for both the girl and her family but thanks to Lee’s quick actions, she was returned home unharmed.

Intruder Breaks In with Criminal Intentions. Soon Finds Out He Picked Wrong Woman to Mess With

A person’s home is supposed to be their “castle.” People work hard to buy homes, pay their mortgages, and keep their property — and themselves — safe.

That’s why home invasion always feels like such a personal crime. To know that somebody has entered your sacred space, uninvited and unwanted, can enrage even the most even-tempered among us.

Even worse is when homes are broken into while the owners are inside. Not only is this a violation of property rights, but an armed and panicky intruder can pose a serious threat to the safety of the homeowners.
Sometimes, level-headed homeowners are able to stand up for themselves and ward off the would-be burglars. When intruders rushed past Lisa Morelock at her own front door, she had only one thought: “No. Not today.”

Lisa Morelock is a Tennessee woman standing at just under five feet tall and has a low tolerance for burglary. Recently, she heard a knock at the door and opened it to discover a strange woman on her doorstep.

The woman told Morelock that she needed help finding her lost dog. But before she even had time to think, Morelock found herself being rushed by the woman and a man in a ski mask.

As if that wasn’t traumatic enough, Morelock got an even bigger scare when she realized that the masked intruder was armed with a gun. That’s when she decided that she wasn’t going to let this fly.

Morelock grabbed a nearby baseball bat and started defending herself. And defend herself she did, leaving her attacker thoroughly bruised.

Fortunately, Morelock had some extra assistance to aid her in the melee. Her teenage daughter and a friend joined her in fighting off the intruders.

Eventually, she was able to unmask the failed thief. She was shocked to discover that it was none other than Joe Sotello, a long-time friend of the family. His female accomplice turned out to be his girlfriend.

Oddly enough, Sotello ran to a house down the street for safety. But the residents there were related to Morelock, and they detained the would-be robber until he could be taken into custody.

Sotello’s head-scratching betrayal seems infuriating and nonsensical, but it served at least one useful function. It taught local criminals one very important lesson, and one that they won’t soon forget: Don’t mess with Lisa Morelock!

It was like any other night as Officers Roger Garcia and Sam Rodriguez patrolled their section of town. Although they are often prepared for abnormal circumstances like this baby, tonight would be a whole new ball game for the both of them.
It was a Monday night when Officers Garcia and Rodriguez noticed a vehicle swerving all across the road. Within moments, their lights and siren came on and they pulled the vehicle over.

As they approached the vehicle, the two officers were shocked at what they saw. In the car with what looked to be a drunk father, were three children. The children, who were 5-years-old, 2-years-old, and 2-months-old, looked paralyzed with fear in the backseat.

The police desperately held it together when they 2-month-old wasn’t even buckled in. The father was obviously arrested but the police were then left to take care of the children. The officers began telling KOAT news that their interaction with the kids in that moment could affect how they view police for the rest of their lives.

“It was really hard to be professional when we had such strong opinions about the morality of the situation,” the officers said. “We really tried to keep it together for the welfare of the kids. We tried to be happy with them and give them a secure feeling.”

The officers on scene decided to take the two older kids to McDonalds since they looked hungry. As for the 2-month-old, Rodriguez prepared a bottled of formula using his flashlight and car heater!

Watching an officer feed a baby he doesn’t even know is one of the most touching images I have seen. “I’ve always baby-sat since I was a kid, but I’ve never done it with a gun on my belt in the passenger seat of a patrol car with a rifle next to me,” Rodriguez recalled.

Cop Pulls Man Over Because Child Isn’t In Seat, But Driver Says There’s No Baby In The Car

When this man was pulled over, his wife immediately started recording.

Her husband had no idea, but she knew it was all a huge setup. And she was actually the reason for it all.

In the video below, the officer reveals he was pulled over because the child in the car is not in a car seat. Right away, the driver becomes even more confused. He says there is no child in the car, but the officer insists there is.

As his wife continues to record, he looks behind him in the back seat to see if maybe there somehow is a child back there he doesn’t know about. But as he whips his head back, the officer points to his wife, who’s holding a positive pregnancy test right in front of the camera.

That’s the moment her husband finally realizes what’s going on, and lets his head sling back in disbelief, and maybe some relief too.

This man was sweating bullets, but after the second officer comes around with a surprise dad-to-be gift, he admits how happy he is.

This pregnancy announcement is so unique and unexpected, there’s no way he’ll ever forget this roller coaster of emotions.

Thank God she got it all on tape!

Dad Asks Hard-Working Son If He Can Do 1 More Chore. When He Sees What It Is He Breaks Down In Tears

A good work ethic is something that is oft-lamented these days. While hard work and determination have been the backbone of this country for years, many children have grown soft and don’t know the feeling of a hard day’s work.

Just because a lot of children are that way, though, doesn’t mean all of them are.

Nine-year-old Kolt Kyler from Pierceton, Indiana, knows the meaning of hard work. He helps his dad on the family farm, and that often includes chores like feeding and cleaning up after their pigs.

While many boys his age might scoff at such hard and dirty work, Kolt works tirelessly and without complaint.

“His work ethic is amazing,” said Kolt’s sister, Hannah Himes.

After one particularly arduous day on the farm, Kolt’s dad, Andy, had a proposition for him.

“You know, I kind of tested you a little bit today,” Andy told him. “I wanted to see how you’d react because I knew you were tired. You never once complained. You worked hard.”

He then asked if Kolt would be up for one more job. He warned his son that it would take a lot of time – probably all day – but the hard-working young man agreed to the task before he even knew what it was.

That’s when Andy handed him an envelope and told him to open it. When Kolt saw what was inside he immediately melted into tears.

Instead of another chore, the envelope contained tickets to go see Kolt’s beloved Chicago Cubs play at Wrigley Field, a reward for working hard on the farm, at school, and on his baseball team.

“He may or may not be their biggest fan!” Hannah said, adding that Kolt has “been carrying around a bat, ball, and glove since he could walk.”

Hannah posted a video of the sweet moment on Twitter where it immediately caught fire, spreading as far as the Cubs themselves.

Anthony Rizzo, the Cubs’ first baseman, retweeted the video and said he would have batting practice passes waiting for Kolt so he could experience the game from right on the field!

The whole team will give Kolt and his father a warm welcome at their game against the St. Louis Cardinals in June, and we’re sure Kolt is eagerly counting down the days!

What a fitting reward for such an exceptional young man!

Man Orders People To Commit Violence Against Cops And Their Families, Gets Huge Dose Of Karma

A Racine, Wisconsin, man was arrested for threatening police in a shocking Facebook post.

Byron Cowan wrote the post on his Facebook page, which many believe encouraged black men to shoot white police officers.

“I encourage every Black man in America to strap up. It is clear. I encourage every white officer to kiss there love ones goodbye. Every time you leave the house. Tell them you love them; because you may not make it home,” the post read.

Cowan was subsequently arrested at his home by local officers and FBI agents on charges of felony threats to injure law enforcement, hate crime and felony terroristic threats. His wife later told WDJT that his post was all talk and not meant to be taken seriously.

“He loves everybody, but he gets very emotional about things,” Tracey Cowan said. “The things that happened recently got him pretty fired up.”

The man’s wife said she never expected his post to have such severe consequences.

“omeone got upset and decided to label him as a terrorist. It’s like you can’t say anything without somebody being offended,” she said.

Neighbor Charles Boyle said he was surprised by Cowan’s arrest.

“They’re not noisy, they don’t both anyone, so it was odd to see that,” Boyle said. “You wanna be able to feel safe in your own home, and if he’s willing to do that, who’s to say what else he’s willing to do, so yeah, it’s unsettling.”

News of Cowan’s post and subsequent arrest quickly went viral, with many applauding police for arresting him.

” Need to get a dose of reality .I have no problem with any races but need to respect each other. Bad in all as well as good. Say stuff like that just asking for KARMA to bite you in the butt,” one Newsiosity reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.

“So wrong in so many ways….he is demented….we are ALL human beings….and I am so color blind…Police officers and their families are human beings just like you we are ALL connected cherish Life,,,,ALL Life,” another added.

If I ever witnessed someone attacking my grandmother, I can guarantee you all hell would break loose. People steal from all sorts of people, but to steal and attack an elderly woman is just shocking. But that’s exactly what happened here. But something else happens that you wouldn’t expect. Something AH-MAZING.

About two years ago, a 76-year-old woman was walking to her car in a Winn-Dixie parking lot when a purse snatcher jumped in her way and attacked her! Thankfully, three people came to her aid…one of whom was a navy veteran who you definitely didn’t want to mess with!

Kendrick Taylor is that big guy you’re always nervous standing next to. When he heard that terrifying scream of a woman he glanced over just in time to see the older woman being assaulted by a coward and thief. As Taylor approached, the criminal quickly jumped on his bike and took off.

Taylor ignored any dangers and pursued the criminal with full speed. The Navy veteran ran faster than the bike, caught up with him, and tackled the criminal off the bike and into the ground. Once there, Taylor held the man down and called the police.

The criminal was already on probation when he attempted to steal this woman’s purse. With this new offense, he was charged with robbery and attempted battery on the elderly. Like most veterans, Taylor says he doesn’t consider himself a hero. “What if that was my Grandma?” Taylor said. Yeah…that doesn’t sound like a hero at all…
