Rugged Homeless Man Pleads Restaurant for Water. Moments Later, Shocked by What She Tells Manager

A heartwarming post shared on Facebook illustrated the perfect example of compassion and kindness. Scott Grubitz originally sent the sweet story to a page called Helping Hands of Amarillo, and it has since gone viral by more than 2,000 likes.

It was the afternoon of April 13, and Grubitz was working in the city of Amarillo, Texas, which wasn’t his normal job location. When it came time for his lunch break, he decided to grab a bite to eat at a local Long John Silver’s.

While there, Grubitz witnessed a good deed from one of the employees named Janet. A rugged homeless man came up to the counter and asked the young lady for water.

She “politely” gave him a cup to go pour water into for himself. The guy must have been exhausted from the Texas heat, because Grubitz said he stood there the entire time as he cooled down with his refreshing cup of water.

“I try not to judge a book by its cover but, he looked like he had no money and was probably very hungry,” he wrote in the post. And, it seemed like Janet was thinking the same thing.

According to Grubitz’s story, she went to her manager, whom they refer to as “Captain,” and started to briefly talk about their distressed guest. Captain was completely fine with the man being there in his restaurant, so they decided to treat him to lunch.

Janet soon came from behind the counter and brought the man a full tray of food. Grubitz said the guy quickly sat down to enjoy his free meal.

Grubitz was so pleased by her endearing actions that he decided to approach the young woman to tell her thank you. She informed him that it was actually her boss who gave her “permission” to give the man the food.

Helping others has always been a common thing for Captain, and that may have shocked Grubitz even more. “I’ve always loved Long John’s and this was just the cherry on top,” he mentioned.

Grubitz later wrote: “You folks are a real Class Act and I will definitely be returning. I wish more places would do the same instead of tossing the food they don’t sell in the garbage.”

One commenter on Love What Matters’ re-post of the story completely agreed with Grubitz. They wrote: “Restaurants should allow homeless or those who can’t afford to buy a meal to come in at the close of the day and have a free meal instead of tossing it in the garbage dump. Donate the food to shelters or to needy families. God would want us to do this…”

That could be a good idea, and perhaps a creative solution for restaurants to cut down on food waste. It’s a blessing to help others when the opportunity presented itself.

Cop Goes to House to Shut down Party after Neighbor Complains. But Then He Sees the Kids out Back By HF – April 30, 201712 0

Police have to deal with noise complaints from time to time. Out of control parties are often seen as a consequence of young people hanging out in a community lacking better activities.

The San Antonio Police Department in Texas was no different when receiving a noise complaint April 22 from a neighbor. However, one police officer was not about to break up the gathering of young people.

Perhaps, the group’s music was too loud. However, their intentions for gathering spoke even louder to the officer who arrived on the scene.

It was not a crazy party making noise, but a dance crew called the NXG Dance Crew. The name, NXG standing for Next Generation, was inspired by the mission of the dance crew.

The group’s goal is to “inspire, motivate, encourage, and connect with the next generation of kids to help educate them about the culture of dance.” The police officer realized that the young kids and adults at this particular event were hosting a dance battle.

Instead of squashing their efforts to create a positive and fun event for the community, police Officer Juan Bruno joined in. The dance battle was centered on the theme of “clash of styles.”

Bruno’s next move certainly clashed with what the dancers were expecting. They were ready for him to shut down the event and maybe even get ticketed for the loud music.

Instead, Bruno requested the group to turn on salsa music. Bruno brought his own unique salsa dancing skills to the floor to the complete shock and delight of the group.

The police officer put himself in the crew’s shoes, figuratively, and approached the situation with understanding. He was not only understanding, but he ‘put on his dancing shoes’ and literally began to salsa dance!

The crew later presented Officer Bruno with a certificate of appreciation. Leslie Sapp’s daughter, Jaelie, not only participated in the dance crew’s event that evening, but danced with Bruno. Sapp posted the original video and then the presentation of the certificate.

She wrote, “Breaking down barriers & stereotypes. God is GREAT!” Thankfully, the officer realized that the crew has been encouraging people of all ages to attend dance classes, competitions, and battles, rather than getting involved in the really bad situations he often must handle as a police officer.

Apparently, the good cheer spread and inspired local KWEX to host Jaelie and Bruno on their show. Way to go NXG Dance Crew!

We look forward to seeing more moves and smiles. Does your community have a dance crew? Let us know!

Fifth Grade Teacher Shocked by Student’s Note Left on Desk. What It Says Has Him Fighting Back Tears

Being a teacher is a tough gig. Educators support their students by imprinting not only knowledge of a subject, but a love for learning.

The best teachers leave us with lasting impressions. Just think of your favorite grade school teacher and the ways they went above and beyond their job description.

However, in today’s world, we don’t often look up to and appreciate teachers in the ways that they deserve. That is despite the fact that they work so hard for our children.

Teachers in public schools — especially those that work in disadvantaged districts — must work even harder, since they have to nurture the students that might be going through difficulties at home. Still, thanklessness remains a factor of the job.

One student, who appears to be in Atlanta, Georgia, decided to change all that. At least for his favorite teacher, Mr. Jermaine.

Young Markus decided to write him a letter showing his gratitude. The fifth grade teacher found the letter lying on a desk and immediately welled up with tears.

He shared a picture of the handwritten note on Twitter with the caption, “So I walked in the classroom and found this letter on the desk that one of my kids wrote me and… I tried so hard not tear up.”

“Thank you for being a awesome teacher and for being amazing,” the note said in kiddish handwriting. “This school year was so fun and I enjoyed it because of you.”
This, by itself would warm any teacher’s heart, but what Markus followed up with could only be seen as the highest praise. “I look at you like my dad,” he wrote.

“I never met my dad but it okay because you treat me like your son. You make me so happy,” the boy continued. “Always feeding me when I am hungry and hug me when I am sad. I will never forget you Mr. J.”

What began as a small, sweet gesture tugged at the heartstrings of many. We’d like to thank you too, Mr. J, and other teachers like him for not only teaching our children, but also looking after them in so many ways.

-When he walked into the classroom, he discovered one of his students had left a note on his desk.
But he was not prepared to read what the student had to say…

Mom Of 3-Year-Old Who Was Busted For Relations With Dog Gets Arrested Yet Again (Photos)

A Florida mother may face prison time after being arrested for having sex with a 15-year-old boy.

Brittany Sonnier, 23, allegedly performed sex acts with the boy while he was living next door.

In 2012, Sonnier was also accused of having sex with a dog in Arizona.

She is also the mother of a 3-year-old son.

According to WKMG 6, the teenage boy lived next door to Sonnier on the weekends when he stayed with his father.

Sonnier then began her inappropriate relationship with the boy. However, after learning of her past bestiality charges, he began to worry that he contracted a sexually transmitted disease from her, the police report notes. While the Daily Mail says the teen then admitted the sexual relationship to his pardnts, WKMG reports that the teen went to the police after getting a physical exam.

Sonnier later confessed to her deeds, telling officials that she had sex with the boy for two nights in a row. She also admitted to providing him with marijuana, though police say she was in possession of both marijuana and alcohol while with the boy.

She has since been charged with felony lewd and lascivious battery sex act with a person below the age of consent, as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to WKMG. These are both felony charges

A report reveals that her bestiality charges first came to light in 2012 when she allegedly told a boyfriend that “she was interested and into having sex with dogs,” the Huffington Post reported.

The report continues, “She went on to tell him that she has been having sex with their family dogs since she was 13-years-old,” according to the Daily Mail.

Mother’s Heartbroken When 4 Officers Show up for Her Son… Then 2 Words Change Everything

An Arkansas mother’s world was changed forever when four state troopers showed up at her door for her son. What they had to say would make a lasting impact not only on her but the 10-year-old boy.

Angela Andrews said she was heartbroken and felt helpless when none of the 21 people invited showed up to her son’s birthday party back in April of 2016.

All of that changed when four Arkansas State Troopers knocked on her door with the intention of granting her son, Toxey, surprise birthday wishes two days later.

Toxey said he was slightly scared when he first saw the officers at the door. But some of their first words — “Happy Birthday” — cleared that up quickly.

Their good wishes pushed his fear aside as they visited with him and helped him celebrate a happy birthday. They brought the little guy a cake and even let him sit in the patrol car.

“They showed me all the keys to do the sirens and the horn. I also got to see the cage with the dog in it,” Toxey said.

The troopers gave Toxey several gifts that included video games and a razor scooter. They even played a game of basketball with him.

“They had come to give me all that stuff and make up their own birthday party for me,” said Toxey. He admitted that it bought tears to his eyes.

It will surely be a birthday he will remember for a long time. He hopes to be a trooper just like the ones that paid him a special visit for his 10th birthday.

For her part, Andrews had just one message for parents: “On Saturday night, I knew no one was coming, and I posted on Facebook just kind of like an outcry to parents. Just please if your kids get invited to birthdays, take them.”

This is one of many stories where law enforcement officers go above and beyond to make someone’s day. If you see someone in uniform, be sure to thank them for their service!

After 4-Year-Old Boy Dies, Doctors Horrified To See What Was Inside Him

Tyranne Beckless (inset)
A Wisconsin community was thrust into chaos over the weekend as first responders rushed to the home of a 4-year-old boy who had died. Unfortunately, doctors would be left horrified to see what was still inside the boy that had ultimately caused his death — and now, two people are behind bars.

According to NBC TMJ 4, 4-year-old Tyranne Beckless went into the bedroom of his parent’s home on Milwaukee’s north side but would never come back out alive. As the boy’s great aunt, Lashonda Taylor, would explain, he went into the room, went to sleep in his home with his mother, father, one-year-old sister, and five-year-old brother on Friday night, and never woke up.

The next morning, the family slowly began to wake up when Tyranne’s older brother felt that the body next to him was “cold as ice,” and he immediately knew something was wrong. Before long, emergency personnel had flooded the home, but it was too late. Tyranne had passed away at some point during the night.

Unfortunately, the worst was yet to come as doctors sought to figure out why such a young boy would simply die in his sleep. As it turns out, the answer wasn’t quite so simple as even medical professionals would be left horrified to see what was inside the

Come to find out, Tyranne had drugs in his system, leaving the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office to rule his death a “probable opioid overdose.” Breitbart further reports, “It’s unclear whether [Tyranne] overdosed on prescription painkillers, heroin, or another type of opioid.”

At this point, several people have expressed their belief that the boy may have ingested the drug after someone had left it laying around. Further proving that this could be the case is the fact that two people have since been arrested in connection with Tyranne’s death, presumably his parents.

Currently, the Medical Examiner’s office is waiting for a toxicology report to verify their initial findings, but Tyranne’s death helped shine a light on a very real epidemic here in America that seems to be flying under the radar. In all, Tyranne’s tragic passing would mark the seventh death of a child under the age of five from an overdose of opioids in Milwaukee over just the past 19 months.

Despite the known dangers and countless warnings, drugs continue to show just how much of a grip they have on our nation’s citizens. With over 30,000 Americans dead in 2015 from opioid overdose and that number on the rise, the fact that children are now dying should have people seriously concerned.

When parents have children, they essentially sign off – or at least, they should – from doing certain things for not only their own benefit but that of their children as well. Unfortunately, the two adults, in this case, were so selfish that they couldn’t do what was best for their kids, and now one of their children is dead.

Furthermore, their other children are likely in the custody of Child Protective Services and headed to foster care as there is no one to care for them. Drugs, along with the careless decisions of these parents, effectively tore apart a family, killing someone in the process.

At the end of the day, we’re all responsible for our own actions. However, when the things you do can impact the lives of others, it’s especially imperative to think twice before acting. Really, what these two could have done to prevent such a tragedy is rather simple – just stay away from the junk.

Mom Sees Red Marks In Pic Of Her Son, Horrified By Boyfriend’s Sick Secret

Working mother DJ Gilbert left her son at home with her boyfriend while she went to her job. However, she knew something was off when the man sent her a picture of the boy’s “rash” and came home to find a mother’s worst nightmare.

Mirror reports that little Korbin Edwards was being watched by Daniel Rose, 32, when the boy had an accident in his pants. Rose became angry and placed the boy in a scalding bath as punishment. He called DJ at work and then sent a picture of Korbin’s burns, describing them as a rash.

“I asked him to send me a picture and when I received it, Korbin was red from the mid-belly down to his feet,” DJ recalled, according to The Sun.2

Cops questioned Rose’s story, which completely unraveled after Korbin was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with third-degree burns from the waist down.

“He told me it was diaper rash but told the police he thought Korbin must have fallen into the bath,” DJ said. “We believe Daniel got mad because Korbin had soiled his pants and in anger Daniel had put him into the hot water.”

She recalled, “I was really scared when I first saw his skin. It was bright red and white from where it was peeling off, large chunks of skin were missing.” She continued, “I found out he had third-degree burns across half of his belly, all of his waist, his genitals, butt and most of his legs.”

Korbin’s stomach and bowels were severely damaged by the hot water and he needed to use a nasogastric tube and an IV for several weeks. Doctors feared that he would not walk again. The poor boy could not eat, drink, or go to the bathroom on his own, and he required a catheter as well.

Through what his mother and doctors have called a miracle, Korbin, who is now six, made a recovery and learned to walk again.2

Through therapy, the boy is starting to recover emotionally, as well. “For a long time he didn’t want to go into the bathtub, he was in therapy for a couple of years and we’ve worked really hard with him,” his mother said. “Now he has no problem at all, other than going into the downstairs bathroom as that’s where the incident happened.” She added, “He had night terrors for such a long time, now he only has one or two a year opposed to every night before.”

Rose has since been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of first-degree assault. Prosecutors roasted Rose for trying to cover his tracks rather than calling for medical attention. “This young child will carry the physical and emotional scars of this awful crime for the rest of his life,” said prosecutor Eric Zahnd.

It is uplifting to see a miracle recovery in progress. It is also good to know that Rose is behind bars for what he did to this innocent little boy. Fortunately, hope can rise out of heartbreaking situations, even one as horrifying as this.

Walmart Customers Alert Police After Realizing Why Little Girl Was Walking So Strangely (Photos)

Photos of a man dragging a little girl by her hair throughout a Wal-Mart have gone viral.

Erika Burch was shopping at a local Wal-Mart in Cleveland, Texas, when she saw a man dragging a little girl by her hair up and down the aisles, the Daily Mail reported.

The man was the girl’s father. He was holding the little girl’s hair against the handle of a shopping cart. Burch said the girl kept asking him to stop.

“I promise I won’t do it again! Please stop!” Burch heard the little girl cry out.2

Burch took photos of the man and told him to let the little girl go. She said the man told her to mind her own business. She responded by saying, “No I’m not! Right now this little girl is my business and you need to let her hair go now!”

Burch contacted an officer with the Cleveland Police Department. The department said they were aware of the incident.

“The Cleveland Police Department has received numerous calls in regards to a child having her hair pulled last night at Cleveland Wal-Mart,” the department wrote in a Facebook post. “We want to assure the community this case is currently being investigated by our Detective Division.5

“CPS has been contacted per our policy and is also investigating this case. A joint investigation is currently being conducted by both agencies.”

“Police are concerned at this time for the children who may be in the home with the dad who appeared to have been a little aggressive at the time,” Cleveland Police Chief Darrel Broussard told KTRK.

But Burch claims a sergeant told her the man “has the right to discipline his children.” She said the sergeant also told her that in order for the incident to be considered abuse, “there had to be bodily injury to the child.”

“People are telling me I’m wrong for stepping up for this little girl, but you can discipline a child without dragging them by the hair on their head, especially in Wal-Mart,” Burch told KTRK. “I want help for that little girl so that she knows nobody is supposed to do that to her,” Burch said.

9-Year-Old Boy Asks For Dessert, School Calls Him Racist And Calls 911

Police were called to a New Jersey elementary school after a 9-year-old student said, “Brownies,” while talking about snacks, his mother alleged.

Another student reportedly misinterpreted the comment and thought it was said in a racist way, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. A teacher subsequently called police.

“He said they were talking about brownies,” Stacy dos Santos, the child’s mother, said. “Who exactly did he offend?”

Dos Santos added that the incident has made her think twice about sending her child back to the school in the fall.

“I’m not comfortable with the administration; I don’t trust them, and neither does my child,” she said. “He was intimidated, obviously. There was a police officer with a gun in the holster talking to my son, saying, ‘Tell me what you said.’ He didn’t have anybody on his side.”

Officers also spoke to the children’s parents, and the incident was reported to the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency.

Collingswood Police Chief Kevin Carey stated during a meeting with school officials that they should report incidents to police, including cases “as minor as a simple name-calling incident that the school would typically handle internally.”

Police also said they were advised to refer almost every case to Child Protection and Permanency.

This policy was a shift from the previous one under the Memorandum of Agreement between the police and schools in New Jersey, under which incidents were reported only when deemed serious enough. Such action was typically taken in cases involving drugs, weapons or sexual assault.

Since the meeting, officers have been called to the school as often as five times per day.

“Some of it is just typical little-kid behavior,” teacher Megan Irwin said. “Never before in my years of teaching have I felt uncomfortable handling a situation or felt like I didn’t know how to handle a situation.”

The mayor, police and Camden County Prosecutor’s Office ultimately arranged a meeting to discuss incidents.

“In our discussion today, you and your staff made it abundantly clear that our recent meeting was to reinforce the applicability of the Memorandum of Agreement, but not to expand its terms,” Collingswood Mayor Jim Maley wrote in a letter to the prosecutor’s office, the Collingswod Patch reported.

Dad Kills 8-Month-Old Daughter, Onlookers Sick To See What He Did In Court

James Saltmarshall (left) and his daughter, Janiyah (Right)
A 22-year-old dad from Detroit, Michigan has been arrested and charged in the death of his 8-month-old daughter. However, the injuries that led to the innocent child’s death are truly horrifying. When onlookers saw what this sick father dared to do during court, they were left utterly disgusted with the man’s actions.

James Saltmarshall was arrested and charged with the death and sexual assault of his eight-month-old daughter, Janiyah. The young girl had been in the custody of James’ mother, Aisha Saltmarshall, but was returned to her father and his girlfriend just days before her death. Although Aisha admits that she fought with the police and the caseworker with Child Protective Services that the young girl wasn’t going to be safe, her pleas were ignored.

“I just wanted her safe,” Aisha said. “I didn’t have to have custody of her. She just needed to be in a safe environment, and the environment she was in was not a safe environment.”

Unfortunately, only a few days later, Inkster Police Department received a call in the afternoon about an unresponsive infant found at the Alpine Motel, where James and his girlfriend were living. Although the baby was rushed to the hospital suffering from trauma to her head and rectal tearing, she eventually passed as a result of her injuries.

Initially, James told police that he was sleeping on a bed next to his daughter and got up to use the bathroom, and when he returned, his daughter wasn’t breathing. He claims that he called 911 and started performing CPR on the infant.

However, according to Daily Mail, Lt Jeffrey Smith said, “the suspect’s story later changed, and in a subsequent interview the 22-year-old claimed that his daughter fell off the bed and he shook her in an attempt to wake her up.” Of course, when he was confronted with evidence of an alleged sexual assault on the child, the father changed his story once again and suggested that someone may have broken into their hotel room while they were asleep and done something to her.

Once the sick father was arrested and appeared before the 22nd District Court Judge Sabrina Johnson, he revealed how much of a coward he truly is. As onlookers stared at him in disgust, he was seen sobbing uncontrollably and begging to talk to his mom.
“Wait, wait, this never happened,” James exclaimed in a high-pitched voice, speaking through tears, according to WJBK. “Wait, wait a minute. Can I call my mom, can I please call my mom?”

He has since been charged with felony murder, first-degree child abuse, and first-degree criminal sexual conduct in the slaying of his innocent daughter. He is currently being held on $2 million bond and is due back in court for a probable cause hearing on Wednesday.

What this man did to his innocent little girl is truly disgusting. Of course, when his cellmates learn what he did to his own daughter, they will show him exactly what it feels like to be a victim, and he will shed some real tears when that happens.

Unfortunately, there isn’t anything they could do that would affect him as much as he deserves for taking his own daughter’s life in such a sick way. However, God will undoubtedly give him the punishment he’s owed, ensuring that he spends eternity in hell for what he’s done.
